Bereavement Concierge

The most difficult of times can be a little easier with the help of a concierge. Helping with planning, notifications, task reminders and working with the family to create a beautiful memorial for a loved one.

About Me

I love to plan and to help others! As a mother of 3, I worked during most of their lives and juggled volunteering, serving on committees and always taking the lead on fundraisers, events, banquets and parties. I have more than 30 years in hospitality and know how to keep things running smoothly. Additionally, I was a teacher and a cheerleading coach which has given me tremendous experience relating with others.

After helping 2 dear friends through the loss of a parent and planning and organizing a great Prom-Uation event for 40 families during the Pandemic, I felt a calling to help others.

There is no reason a mom or dad can't have a personal assistant, nor that a secretary has to be an expert party planner or travel agent. I am here to fill those gaps.

I utilize my experience, contacts and expertise to reduce your workload!

Working with Seaside Concierge was a great experience! We were planning a birthday party and were quite overwhelmed with all the things that needed to be done. We needed to find someone who could help us with the planning and the execution of the birthday party and Karen was exactly what we needed. She handled the full coordination of the vendors, decor, catering, invitations, party favors, setup, delivery of items and all the finer details. She's reliable, detail oriented, responsible, affordable, dependable and was able to deliver everything we had in mind. In March of 2020, our lives were put on hold when Covid-19 literally took over. My daughter was a Senior in High School gearing up for the end of the year activities. Senior breakfast, Senior lunch, Senior Prom, Senior Awards, Grad Night but most importantly, Graduation. All of these things vanished right before her eyes when the world shut down. Luckily for me, my dear friend Ilicia had a Senior as well that was good friends with my daughter. Ilicia immediately jumped into action and was determined to give her daughter and her friends the closest thing to a Prom and Graduation that she could. She proceeded to spend hours upon hours on the phone and in person trying to get the Hilton to agree to an intimate graduation and Prom for roughly 40 kids during the epicenter of the Covid shutdown. Boy did she pull it off! These kids got to hear their names called, walked up to get their “diploma” and danced the night away at their prom. Such an amazing night and I can’t think of anyone else that could pull off such an elaborate event with everything working against her. I would highly recommend Ilicia to plan your next event!! Ilicia was there during both my mother's passing and my divorce. She helped organize many of the things that were painful and could have been neglected. Having the assistance of a planner eased so many of my concerns and gave me the opportunity to be present during the events while leaving much of the business to her.

Ilicia has helped our cheer program plan and manage large events such as cheer and dance showcases with over 1,000 people, competitions, and formal banquets with 150-200 people, with invitations, decorations, and coordinating vendors and parent volunteers.
